TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

TabTrade — The Short Version

Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail tells you something. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.

Platforms

Available: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many pick one platform. Access to both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should make the platform set when it arrives.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.

Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package is strong. Few brokers with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the thing that matters. The broker is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It should be part of your assessment.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you commit.
